June Walatkiewicz is a licensed clinical social worked and licensed marriage and family therapist with over 25 years experience in the mental health field. 

As a child of Deaf Parents with sign language communication skills which were formalized as a qualified Interpreter for the Deaf. She later expanded her educational goals by obtaining her Masters in Social Worker from Wayne State University. She specializes in outpatient mental health with the individuals with hearing loss in the tri county area. 

In 2004, she was recognized as Social Worker of the Year by MI-NASW for her work with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. 

June serves on the NASW-MI Mental Health Task Force for the Deaf, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing and continues to advocate for equal access for this population.

She has given presentations to medical residents at Beaumont Hospital, Michigan Rehabilitation, Sign Language Students at Madonna University and Macomb Community College, Health Care Insurance Providers, and Parent Support Groups, and other interested groups on the unique treatment issues for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
